NEW ALERT!
Welcome to Shattered Glass
"We are the stuff that dreams are made on."
Or so we have been told. But what happens when dreams turn to nightmares? When whispers turn to screams?
...When lives are broken?
We can't change the past. But we can change the future.
Welcome to Shattered Glass. Everyone here is bruised, battered, or broken in some way, shape or form. They say that misery loves company. And with the birth of a place like this, that saying has been proved true.
At Shattered Glass, everyone has a problem; a deficiency of sorts. And all because of the past. There are deafs, mutes, blind horses, horses that can't answer questions, whose bodies are as fragile as glass... the list goes on.
But we're trying to fix what little of them we can:
Their hearts.
With Domuico, the stallion who founded the lands as shelter for the weary-hearted, and his half-sister Seraphim, Lady of the Intervention Operation for mares who were broken by stallions in the past, it is hoped that these lands will be a respite from the past that others may not yet be ready to face, with the two working closely with appointed others to keep peace and order in the lands.

Mares' Reverie This is where mares who are still whole enough to realize the necessity of a herd may go to find protection with a stallion or with Seraphim, the Lady of the Intervention Operation, where mares scarred in the past by stallions may go so that they may not be claimed or stolen. Inner Sanctum A place where mares and stallions alike can go to rest their weary heads. In the midst of so many territories free of human influence, there is a half fallen-apart building made of stone and marble. Who knows what it might have once been? Horses have taken to calling it the Inner Sanctum--even in the midst of chaos, it is someplace they can go to have peace of mind. Mares cannot be claimed from this place. Stallions' Grounds This is where stallions post their updated herd statistics. It is also where the Homeless Band (colts who aren't of age yet, and stallions who just don't have herds, be it by choice or otherwise) roam about, led by Grenade. Moderators: Glory Be, tipsy

Advertising // Affiliating This is where you may post your advertisements / affiliate requests. Please place [ADV] in your title if it is an advertisement, [LB] if it is a link back, and [AFF] if it is an affiliation request. It's just easier that way. Moderators: Glory Be, tipsy, Explosive.
Rapid Hills These hills are abundant with rich green grass--a feast fit for a king! But there isn't much shelter apart from the occasional tree here and there. And though the territory has its own large river running through it, it is very quickly running and turns into rapids a ways down. A horse would be quickly swept to its doom, were it to fall in. Colorless Cove This territory may appear gray and bleak because of the constant mist and fog it's shrouded in, but it might be the best (even if it is the least attractive) place to live around here. There are large boulders and a cave big enough to snugly fit four or five horses in it, enough sea grass to feed a small to medium herd, and a small freshwater pool nearby. Crabs can prove unwelcome visitors when curious equines get a little too close. Moderators: Glory Be, tipsy

Lightning Peak A small mountain that reaches for the heavens, Lightning Peak is chill and usually somewhat damp. With the higher altitude comes greater risk of lightning striking near a herd living here, and greater chance of a horse falling and breaking a leg. But aside from that, the view is breathtaking, the grasses at the food of the mountain can sustain a medium-sized herd, and a mountain stream trickles down over the rocks. Blustery Meadow This meadow is strange. In the middle of the expanse are four trees, in a spread-out diamond formation, but the rest of the meadow is only grass; not even shrubs grow anywhere. What's even stranger is the fact that the four trees are bent over a small pond that they surround. Other than the trees, there is no shelter, and the pond is the only source of water. Since the land is so bare, it is somewhat prone to windstorms and such. Moderators: Glory Be, Explosive.

Paradoxal Ravine Even stranger than Blustery Meadow, the Paradoxal Ravine has a natural bridge across it wide enough only to fit one horse. If you look down while crossing it, it will seem as though you are one hundred feet up, but in reality, the fall is little more than five feet. Another strange thing is that foals seem to age faster here than anywhere else. Why is that, you may ask? The world may never know. But despite the territory's bizarre nature, there are plenty of rocky overhangs to shelter horses from the weather, and if you can pick your way down the rocky slope into the ravine, there is a stream there, with grass growing along its edges. Yawning Valley This valley is set between two mountain ranges. As such, it can be somewhat prone to drought because of the rain shadow effect. An upside, though, is that it means there isn't much wind, and it prevents a deal of snow from falling in the winter. There is a watering hole near the foot of one of the mountains that is also used by other animals, like the mountain goats and bighorn sheep anyone who might live here would have for neighbors. Jagged Maw Canyon Rocky and quite steep, it is difficult for horses to make it down into the canyon, but there are few predators that can, either. There is a freshwater pool at one end of the canyon, and there are random patches of grass that have managed to break through the rocky ground to reach sunlight. Moderators: Glory Be, Explosive.

Maiden's Tears Lake The aura of this place reeks of sadness and depression. In the past, many mares were part of a herd led by an abusive stallion that resided here. Legend states that the lake here is made from all the tears they shed during their time with him. The lake provides water for equines and for the grass and cattails growing around it. The only semblance of shelter here is hedges and shrubs. Moderators: Glory Be, Explosive.

Sacred Lands
Sanctuary of Angels This is the home to Seraphim, leader of the Intervention Operation, and it is open to all mares who are too broken to look for a home with a stallion. This forest glade holds the same peace as the Inner Sanctum, but the scenery is natural instead of man-made. Narcissus flowers bend over the still pool of water in the middle of it all, surrounded by trees and grass, which provide both shelter and sustenance. Moderators: Glory Be, xxaerionxx

Foundation of Kings The Sanctuary of Angels was actually a part of this land before Domuico gave it to Seraphim. The trees next to the edge of the territory, before it turns into Seraphim's lands, eventually thin out until the land turns into plain flatlands rather than forest. In the middle of the flatlands area of the territory, there is a large, raised slab of rock that resembles a platform of sorts. This is the place where Domuico will make any important announcements to the equines of Shattered Glass. Moderators: Glory Be, xxaerionxx
